Blue Sky Financial Group Inc was formed in March 2003 as a result of the merger of Hutchison-Hyatt Insurance Brokers and Sturgeon Falls Insurance Brokers. 

Hutchison-Hyatt Insurance

Hutchison Insurance was founded in 1977 to provide home, auto and business insurance to the North Bay community and has since grown into a significant regional independent insurance brokerage. Eric Hyatt Real Estate and Insurance Limited was founded in 1972. Located in Callander, Ontario, the brokerage specialized in servicing the small rural communities surrounding North Bay. In 2000, Eric Hyatt Real Estate and Insurance Limited became a division of Hutchison Insurance and changed its name to Hyatt Insurance Brokers. In 2003 the brokerages began to operate under the name Hutchison-Hyatt Insurance.

Sturgeon Falls Insurance

Sturgeon Falls Insurance was founded in 1914 and operated on a part-time basis until 1935. As a professional organization, it was dedicated to providing the best insurance products available to its clients at the most reasonable costs. By providing outstanding service to their customers over the years, the brokerage developed a strong referral-customer base as a foundation for their business. This strong focus continues today and has been adopted by the entire Blue Sky Financial Group as a cornerstone of its business operations.
