Whether you have one commercial vehicle or an entire fleet, you need the right coverage to keep you on the road and headed for success.
The right insurance coverage can protect you and your business from loss or damage if you:
- use one or more vehicles for your business
- manage a fleet
- own a garage operation
Business vehicle(s) - You need this if you use your vehicle for business/commercial purposes rather than for personal use (e.g. contractor or delivery vans, landscaping trucks etc). Premiums are based on the driver and vehicle’s own driving record, claims history, coverage, limits, and deductibles.
Fleet of vehicles – You’ll need this type of policy if you own or manage a fleet consisting of five or more vehicles, whether they are used for commercial, business, or public purposes.
Garage Operation: Garages, dealership, service station and more - If your business has other people’s automobiles in your care and control, you’ll need garage insurance – this is for owners of new and used car dealerships, repair garages, body shops, specialty shops, service stations, gas bars, car washes, and parking garages or lots.
Bodily Injury, Property Damage and Standard Accident Benefits are mandatory coverage on Ontario Automobile Insurance policies. Accident Benefits is the part of auto insurance that provides medical care and income replacement benefits to insured persons injured in a car collision, regardless of who caused the accident. On September 1, 2010, the standard Ontario auto policy was changed and available accident benefits were significantly reduced. You should seriously consider buying Enhanced accident benefits, as the standard benefits could leave you, your spouse, dependants and listed drivers under-insured in the event of a claim.
If you qualify, you may also purchase other Optional policy coverage such as: Higher limits for Bodily Injury/Property Damage, All Perils, Collision, Comprehensive, Specified Perils, Loss of Use coverage, Waiver of depreciation coverage and more. Talk to your broker about your options.
